Why did I start Martial Arts?:
I started martial arts to be like my
cousin. We were always mimicking TV shows and movies
and then my uncle signed him up for Hapkido. I
wanted to do it too. So, not too long after he
started, I started too.
What has SUDA done for me?:
SUDA in many ways has
given me my life back. I found the school during a
rough time in my life and if i didn't get back into
martial arts I don't know where I'd be. It's given
me confidence, a place where I can really be myself,
a second family, and a
sense
of purpose. It's not just a place that I go
to learn how to fight. I've learned how to be a
better person, I've learned the importance of
respect, honor, and most of all I've discovered what
I want to do for the rest of my life.
Favorite Quote about Martial Arts:
"I live, breath, eat and sleep
martial arts. No matter how much I learn, there is
always something new to discover and that's the
beauty of Martial Arts. It's who I am and it's what
makes me want to be a better person." ~ Me
